Elle fut la plus jeune fille du roi Georges III.
Sa sœur aînée fut Tamar, qui fut l'héritière de son père sur le trône de Géorgie.
Elle s'enfuit de Constantinople avec ses fils pour se réfugier soit en Géorgie, soit dans l'ancienne province byzantine de Pont.
