DAVID McKINLEY, known as 'David the Weaver,' born probably in 1705; exact date of his immigration to America not known, as the records of New Castle, Delaware, where most of the early Pennsylvania settlers landed. were destroyed by the British during the Revolutionary War. He settled in Chanceford Township York County, PA., probably before 1745, in which year a tract of land was granted to him. He died in 1761."
